Meet Asm N. Rahman

Trustee Asm N. Rahman was elected to the Wayne County Community College District’s Board of Trustees in 2020.  Working for the City of Detroit, he is the Department Fiscal Manager for the Buildings and Safety Department.  He immigrated to the United States in 1986 and attended Hamtramck High School and Wayne County Community College District.  He obtained his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Finance from Walsh College. 

 He is active in the community, and his goal is to address issues important to the community.  He has served as the Hamtramck NAACP President, a member of the Board for Michigan Coalition of Human Rights (MCHR), and other local engagements.  He has served as a member of the Board for Frontier International Academy since 2005.
