The Wayne County Community College District offers an array of student organizations to compliment our academic and career programs that provide enrichment on campus and beyond.

Share an informative outlook on the biblical Christianity by fostering an inclusive community with both Christian and non-Christian students; provide a safe place where students can freely learn and discuss different topics related to the Bible; and plan events that help foster community. | |
| Beta Beta Beta (Tribeta) Club (Biological Honor Society) | Promote scholarship in the biological sciences; promote the dissemination of biological knowledge; and encourage research. Scholarship and internship opportunities are available. | |
| Board Gaming Club | Promote campus interest in games of all kinds; and bring students and community members together to learn new games. | |
| Console Gaming Society | Promote a positive image of gamers and gaming; build creativity and critical thinking skills; and networking. | |

| Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society | Alpha Upsilon Zeta Chapter~ Recognize academic achievement; encourage scholarship; and provide opportunities for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate. Scholarship and internship opportunities are available. | |
| Student Executive Council (SEC) | Plan educational presentations, student activities and events; promote the rights, education, and general welfare of all students at the college; and recommend themes for student programs. | |
| Student Nurse Association (Nursing Club) | Foster the professional development of nursing students by mentoring; and convey the standards, ethics, and skills that students will need as responsible and accountable leaders and members of the profession. | |

Starting a New Student Club/Organization
Students are free to organize associations in collaboration with a full-time faculty or staff member and a minimum of 10 student members. We encourage them to promote their common interest, provided such organizations are consistent with the provisions of state law and are not contrary to the educational goals of the community college.
Participation in campus organizations is open to all students.
All applications to organize a club or organization must be approved by the District Office of Student Services and must meet the following requirements:
- Only currently registered WCCCD students may hold offices or other leadership positions in the organization.
- Student organizations cannot share the same mission statement, purpose, or officers with another student organization.
- All student organizations officers must hold at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- A current full-time WCCCD faculty or staff member must serve as an advisor to a student organization.
- A returning student organization must register every fall semester.
- ALL RECOGNITION OF STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE WCCCD DISTRICT OFFICE OF STUDENT SERVICES.
The Wayne County Community College District has established policies related to student activities and the operation of clubs and organizations. All students are required to adhere to these policies and procedures. It is the student’s responsibility to provide individual liability, health and accident insurance coverage. The College accepts no responsibility for insurance for students who participate in student activities.

Staying Current
Each organization is responsible for making sure that the records in the District Office of Student Services are kept updated. This includes informing the District Office of Student Services about any changes in contact information, officers, advisors, or organization essentials (such as statement of purpose or constitution). Until the records are updated, the previous officer may still be held responsible for actions of the organization.
NOTE: Only WCCCD full-time faculty and staff members may advise a student organization. A WCCCD full-time faculty and staff member may advise no more than three organizations concurrently.
