Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education (MIPSE)

The Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education (MIPSE) is nationally regarded as one of the finest in emergency training and plays an integral role in making the District a national leader in emergency training and response.

Before this facility, there was no training center in Wayne, Monroe, or Washtenaw County to provide homeland security, fire, law enforcement, EMS, and industrial specialized, realistic, and safe emergency training opportunities open to the community.

This facility has been built in response to the tremendous increase in the demand for the District’s firefighter, Emergency Medical Services, and Industrial Safety Training programs. The Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education provides Homeland Security, Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS, and industrial personnel throughout the surrounding communities, state, and national levels with emergency response education and training services in a safe and controlled environment.
