Bookkeeping
Bookkeeping is a great career path because you learn skills that can be utilized across many different industries. Almost every company and/or project requires math, finance, or other management skills; all subjects covered in the Bookkeeping Short-Term Certificate program.
If your interest is in analyzing numbers, math, and/or accounting, the Bookkeeping Certificate is a two (2) semester program that will prepare you for an entry- level position at most companies. With the movement to accounting software, the program includes a specific course in accounting software. In addition, with the movement to automation, your role will increasingly move to analysis of books and identifying opportunities for improvement.
What’s the Job Outlook for Bookkeeping?
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment outlook for Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Auditing Clerks is projected to decrease 5% from 2021-2031.

Where is WCCCD’s Bookkeeping Certificate Program Offered?
The Bookkeeping Certificate program is offered at our Curtis L. Ivery Downtown Campus. As a WCCCD student, you can take courses, use facilities, and get involved at any of our six locations.
