Home Health Care Aide
The Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD) home health care aide faculty prepares students to perform the basic skills necessary to provide personal care services and activities to elderly, convalescent, or disabled persons in the home of patients or in a residential care facility.
Our program equips students with the knowledge to care for patients holistically, respectfully, and professionally. As a program graduate, you will demonstrate the ability to follow directions/care plans, respect client privacy properly, and provide emotional comfort and support to diverse clients and their families. Graduates can assist in client observation, ambulation, transfer, transport, personal grooming, and hygiene safely and effectively.
A certificate from WCCCD prepares you for work as a home health care aide.
