Associate of Arts

An Associate of Arts degree provides students with a general liberal arts education that prepares them for a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year college or university. The Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD) Associate of Arts program provides students with a foundational education in liberal arts.

The program is designed for students who plan to major in performing arts, English, humanities, or the social sciences. It is also for students preparing for professional programs in law, journalism, business administration, teaching, and computer information systems.
