An academic advisor serves as a guide to prospective and current students for assistance in keeping you on track and clarifying your personal and professional goals. An academic advisor can assist you in the following:

1. Explore and choose an academic/career program
2. Select courses appropriate for your chosen program 
3. Create a course schedule that fits your needs, interests, and abilities
4. Assist with monitoring academic progress
5. Connect you with the support services available online and on campus 
6. Assist with planning for transfer to a four-year institution

We encourage you to meet regularly with the academic advising staff during the semester, to help monitor your academic progress and offer suggestions to ensure success.
