Heinz C. Prechter Educational and Performing Arts Center

The Heinz C. Prechter Educational and Performing Arts Center (EPAC) offers a vibrant and diverse performance program to the college community every season, and it serves as the intellectual and cultural heart of the Downriver community. 

It’s known for its commitment to bringing engaging professional performances of the highest caliber to its exceptional venue. It features a range of programs and facilities that support the work of the Wayne County Community College District’s (WCCCD) faculty, students, visiting artists, scholars, arts organizations, and community partners. 

EPAC enriches and builds community through a diverse, world-class presenting season. It brings performers from around Michigan, the United States, and the world to the Downriver community and the District. Offerings include marquee headliners, touring theatre pieces, children’s programming, and a variety of acts.

The Brown and Juanita C. Ford Art Gallery is also located in EPAC. It features the work of nationally and internationally renowned artists.

Additionally, the venue hosts the district’s student achievement ceremonies, community enrichment activities, unique live entertainment, art exhibits, and popular continuing education programs.
