LPN to RN Bridge Program

The Nursing program at WCCCD offers a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to Registered Nurse
(RN) Bridge program, leading to an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing. Graduates
of the Bridge program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for
Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). This is a one-year fast-track certificate program.

The course will include a review of acquired clinical skills and knowledge and will introduce the student to higher levels of cognition, including clinical reasoning and judgment.

Content covering the philosophy, scope, and standards of practice for the professional RN.

Visualization of nursing from a different perspective on the roles and responsibilities of the RN. Emphasis will be placed on the nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical reasoning. Successful completion will allow all the students to sit for the N CLEX RN exam.
